3 Little Pigs: Free Mr. Wolf!
What if A. Wolf is innocent and only wanted a "...cup of sugar for his Granny's birthday cake?" Now your students can decide based on the text evidence if they believe the wolf is innocent or guilty of hurting the 3 little pigs. This is a fun activity to use after reading The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs, by Jon Scieszka. They will design a Wanted or Free Wolf poster using text evidence to support their argument.
This package includes 13 pages:
- Essential questions; and Core Content Standards;
- Lesson plan;
- Activity sheets: Wanted and Free Poster Template, Wanted and Free Planning sheets, Rubric;
- Bulletin Board Pictures: Two with writing for an Innocent or Free wolf and one with space for writing your own personal message.
I hope your students enjoy this project as much as my students did.

Picture books are a great resource for introducing writing topics. The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs, by Jon Scieszka, is one of my favorites to use for persuasive writing.
