Cut and Paste Word Sort: Long Vowel Sounds A & E

Word Sorts  are a great phonics activity for your students to have hands-on practice with long vowel word families. These word sorts will help your students review the phonograms they have learned in class. The file includes:

• Nine-word sort activities using long vowel phonograms;
• Two pages with letter tiles including digraphs (wh, ch, sh, th, ck), bonus letters (f, l, s, z), glued sounds, and vowel teams;
• One blank page for you to create your own long vowel sort.

These activities can be used as a review for long vowel sounds or quick independent transition activities during the day. They can also be used to help reinforce long vowel rhymes for your struggling readers.
