Our  Cut and Paste Word Sorts: Short Vowels CVC & CCVC  activity gives your students hands-on practice with short vowel word families. Word sorts are a great tool for helping your students review the phonograms they have learned in class. These sorts are design-free so your students are not distracted and can focus on the task.

• Each closed sort allows the student to demonstrate their understanding of word patterns and the relationship between letters and sounds through the use a manipulative activity.
• There are nine-word sort activities using short vowel CVC and CCVC words. The package also includes a blank word sort page and two pages of letter tiles.
• You can use these activities as a review for short vowel sounds or quick independent transition activities during the day.

You  can also use the  sorts to help reinforce short vowel rhymes for your struggling readers.
